I really pray that you choose "Giving Adoni His Due." If we are ever to see the Bride come into full maturity, and usher in the Lord's return, we must do it through our praise of our God. I am excited to hear your insights Kevin, as a Jewish believer and student of the word. We gentiles have a little insight but you are one of God's "chosen" people. If Paul could change the world so much by his preaching, I can't wait to see what a bunch of Jewish preachers will do!! We'll go home fast!!

Shalom Kevin,

I just wanted to say as a Messianic Rabbi in the movement for the last 3 yrs there is a huge need for 2 things 1.) The true meaning of worshipping Yeshua. We need to mature the body by teaching them how to worship and what is involved in really worshipping Adonai.

2.) Instructing the gentile of their MAJOR ROLE in the Messianic movement. And teaching them how not to have an identity crisis. I have been in the movement for 11 yrs and was orthodox for a very long time before I came to Yeshua and one thing I can say is that there is a major identity crisis within the body. Our identity does not come from being jewish or gentile it comes from Yeshua.

thank you Kevin for your work.

I think that in the times we are living that praise and worship of Adonai is truly needed. Living that kind of life will let Yeshua reveal Himself to those hurting around us. Thank you for tackling all of these projects.

Oh, Kevin...All the hurting people...I can relate to all the messages already posted. I'm gonna vote for the worship and not JUST because I lead worship in our congregation. Only in His presence will we ever be able to stop the madness of trying to legitimize our own identities and be at peace with the fact that HE WANTS US, ALL of us. AND we need to be with Him. As a leader I think the things that I see that disturb me most are 1) rabbi's &/or pastors that do not worship during service, preferring to stand around talking to people, biding their time till they get to do their thing, 2) songs that are self centered, 3) Focusing too much on Israel instead of the Lord. Ouch! I know that may be harsh. I recently read that worship is the act of ascribing worth to God...that He has inherent value. If we're talking about ourselves, about Israel, or to the people around us, we're not worshiping GOD...we're not crediting Him with the value that He should have in our lives. Hhhmmm, we're not giving Him His due...V'ahavta.

I believe a Messianic book on the subject of Praise & Worship is very much needed among our movement right now. Unfortunately, I see far too many Messianics missing out on the TRUE meaning of what Praise and Worship really is. There are many who won't give honor and respect to The Lord during worship time in service, by even standing up and praising. Then you have the other extreme, where you find those who love to join in the circles to dance, merely because it's FUN or because it's the Messianic thing to do, without really having a heart of worship and adoration unto The Lord. I also find it a problem when Messianics define "Messianic Music" as a seperate genre of it's own, which can only consist of Davidic-style worship/Jewish flavor. I believe we as Messianics are missing out in the Greater picture of what God has instore for us. Messianic music, is just what the word implies... any kind of music that glorifies and exalts Messiah, whether it may be in the form of classical, worshipful, rock, rap, mainstream christian-style worship. It's sad to see Messianics limit themselves to only "Messianic" music, yet critisize and won't even give Christian music a chance (which in most cases, is very worshipful). I believe we have much to gain from including both in our worhsip services. Messianic music is Great and I love it!, Yet most of it, to be honest, is prophetic and talking about The Lord, and that's good, yet we must also and mostly use songs during our worship time in service that is "Worshipful", that is sung Unto The Lord in adoration as opposed to about The Lord.

I believe when we as Messianics can stop critisizing Christian's as much as we do, and start to embrace what unites us, which should be our love unto The Lord, then The Ruach Hakodesh can make room to move freely to bridge the gap between us, and then and only then can spiritual eyes be opened to The Lord's will for Jew and Gentile. His will has always been to see His people worship as One Body in Messiah. For in Messiah there is no distiction between Jew and Gentile. Let us not forget that those that have been grafted in, through Messiah Yeshua, our now co-heirs [with] the Nation of Israel as well.

In Yeshua's love!

Shalom
Since you ask, I am Honored, and reply that all three books are needed in the Body of Messiah
This is My Vote of the order as follows
a) Prepare the Way
b) Give ADONAI His Due
c) The Gentile Believer in a Jewish Movement

Thank you, Yosef. Be assured, even if the "Gentile Believer" book is not what we publish next, it won't be far behind! :)

Kevin,
I also think that the book on Gentiles in the Messianic Movement is the very important issue at hand. I was praying about speaking to our congregation this coming Shabbat about this very issue, but have been directed to speak on the importance of the Jewish people in end times. I am Jewish and have been in the Messianic Movement for fifteen years. When the thrust has always been to evangelize the Jew, my direction has been to go to the Gentile and change their thinking which in turn will get Jews saved. The Jewish people are the key to world revival, but the Gentiles believers are the key to Jewish salvation by drawing them through jealously of Torah. May Adonai be with you in your decision. Am Yisrael Chai
